F100 90s Tour 2021: Round Six Race Day Information
Where has the time gone this year, it’s a return to Whilton Mill and the final round of the Championship Tour for 2021.
Round 5 at Clay Pigeon saw some great racing in all the classes. It was great to be back after a couple of seasons break.
In Pre95 Ian Turner, who had shown good speed all day took victory after others tripped over themselves, new kid on the block Tyler Weedon took second with Jade Goodwin getting herself sorted for the Final to finish a well deserved 3rd.
Pre 95 drivers this month will also be racing for the Fiona Topliss Memorial Trophy, which will be a lovely way to remember a great supporter of F100 and the Pre95 Class.
Ry Leon took the spoils in Classic TKM with Jack Hamilton & Richard Sturdy in close attendance. Matt Parker went backwards from pole with an issue, but he still had enough points to seal the championship.
Harry Smithson stretched out a nice 4 second lead in Aqua Lite over Ethan Davis & Kevin Ford, whilst Lee Morgan & Mitchell McLeod took victory in Aqua Heavy & Ultra respectively. Aqua drivers will have the opportunity to remember founding Aqua Class driver Andrew Casey, who we sadly lost in June this year. The winner will be awarded with a memorial trophy that Andrew previously won in Aqua.
Gaz Watling was the class of the field straight from the off in Pre2000 with a lights to flag victory over Dan Crankshaw & Joe Scorey, Martin Brackenbury was fourth & Matt Parker 5th after a busy day running in two classes.
Matt Parker has sealed the TKM Classic Championship, Gaz Watling has one hand on the Pre2000 Championship, can he become the first driver in the class to win back-to-back Championships.
The others are still too close to call, who can hold their nerve and take victory, time will tell.
Good luck everyone and let’s have some great racing
