F100 90s Tour 2021: Round Four Race Day Information
Welcome all to Round 4 of the F100 British Tour, at the inspiring Buckmore Park Circuit in the heart of the Garden of England.
Well Well Well…. Buckmore Park…. It’s not so long ago that we thought we’d never be able to say those words again…..but all good things come to those who wait.
To be honest, the last year has been incredibly difficulty for the venue as they faced some very tough decisions. Their core business of large corporate karting events had the brakes stood on firmly and showed no signs off letting off as the COVID19 pandemic took hold.
We’d like to think that we can now put all that behind us as we start with fresh benchmarks to work from. This week we ‘break bread’ in creating a magnificent kart club that we can all be proud to be part of. Our thanks go to co-owners Richard and Leonora Martell-Surtees and also to newly appointed MD Phil Ling for some brave decisions about the future of both Corporate and Owner Driver racing at Buckmore Park.
This month see’s the Summer Cup incorporating round 4 of The F100 90’s Tour. We are also proud to host a round of the FP4 championship headed up by Robert Teague.
With Rotax Classes and Honda Cadets a plenty, a new tyre to contend with and going head to head with Super One at GYG and also the MSUK British Championships at Whilton, some would say we are crazy to launch on this particular date. They would probably be right but your new Kart Club have a dynamic and forward thinking committee team that are not afraid to make bold decisions as you will find out as we continue our journey this year.
This year will see us experimenting with a few things. Some will work and some won’t. F100 is a kart club that doesn’t stand still and never has since we landed on the scene in 2014. If we don’t try new things from time to time, we’ll never know what’s good and what’s bad and as it’s a non-championship year, the risks are less at trying new ideas.
Your feedback will be very welcome and encouraged after each meeting.
To each and every one of you that has entered with us this month, thank you, you made a difference.
Safe racing this weekend, we wish you all the very best of luck
Tim, Jay and Chris Your F100 Team
